Boots Randolph – Homer Louis Randolph III

Now ask yourself, what is one boot good for? They usually come in pairs. So here you go a second boot to make the set. Released in 1971 on the Monument label ‘Homer Louis Randolph III’ reached 141 on the Billboard 200. As the story goes Homer’s father and grandfather all shared the same name which caused confusion at home. So his brother gave him the nickname Boots for reasons now unknown. I can’t think of Boots Randolph without thinking about Chet Atkins, Floyd Cramer and the Nashville Sound they helped create. Enjoy   CB
